Knowing Tsu Tsu

Tsu Tsu Stanton has spent most of her adult life in the entertainment industry, working as a model, actress, talent booker, publicist, manager/talent agent and producer.

 

 

Tsu Tsu Stanton is the owner and executive director of Tsu Tsu Unlimited, a bi­coastal, entertainment company representing actors for film, television, theatre, and also directors, playwrights and comedians. Recent and current projects that feature her clientele include: Broadway – Wicked, Race, It’s Just Sex, Southern Comfort, Parade, The King and I, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, 42nd Street, Saturday Night Fever (Tour), Sunset Boulevard (Tour); et al. Feature Films – Side Effects, Malavita, Walk Around the Tombstones, A Secret Thing, Death to Smoochy, R­Xmas, Marci X, A Beautiful Mind, Sweet and Lowdown, Summer of Sam, Bringing Out The Dead, Mickey Blue Eyes, The Opportunist, 1967, Living Out Loud, 18 Shades of Dust, Bobby G. Tsu Tsu’s personal management career began with the management of the La Mont “Sonny” Stanton Jazz Association and Band which led to the formation of her own booking/media placement agency specializing in Jazz artists and alternative rock and R & B musicians. Her management background also includes Chief Accountant for the World League of American Football (owned and operated by the NFL); Manager of Human Resources for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Inc.; Personnel Manager and Talent Booker for the Algonquin and the Omni Berkshire Place hotels.

 

In addition to manager/talent agent, she also works as a casting director in the disciplines of theater, music, film and television. As a casting director, she has cast for Tulips(a short film), The New Americans (AFTRA DV pilot written and directed by Allen Blumberg), the workshop screenplay reading of Looking for Che, the films Vote For Me(written and directed by Nelson Antonio Denis) and Three Long Years (written and directed by Peter Welch) and theater productions such as Icarus and Aria, Jammin’ at the Gallery, Holidaze, Seatbelts & Big Fat Buddhas, A Boy’s Life and The Outcasts.

 

In 2001 and in 2005 Tsu Tsu was also a fundraiser and did special events for Fernando Ferrer Mayoral Campaign in which she worked closely with his staff.

 

Her current producing projects include: Tulips, a short film created by her client Carrie Drazek, which is currently in post production and will be heading to the film festival circuit in late 2013. She has also teamed up with Ms. Drazek to produce the feature length film, Exposed as well as an Untitled Original Television Series currently in development.

 

Tsu Tsu’s professional memberships include: (BAFTA) British Academy of Film and Television Arts, (LPTW) League of Professional Theatre Women, IFP (Independent Filmmakers Project), NYWIFT (New York Women in Film and Television) and HOLA (Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors).
